Bachaotearoa

BACHAOTEAROA is New Zealands leading Bachata Performance Group based in Christchurch. They have International Instructors and performers Nirico, and  Emily who perform, teach and run Bachata workshops around New Zealand and abroad. Nikal is currently based in the United States.

Bachaotearoa has organised a successful Bachata event in bringing  Internatioals Juan and Samantha over to run Bachata Workshops held in Christchurch in Octorber 2009.

BACHATA is growing in popularity around New Zealand, and is one of the most favoured dances people enjoy. 

Bachata is guitar music that has originated from the Dominican Republic. Bachata music is a variant to Bolero, and is based on Romantic music dealing with themes like lost love, and deception. Bachata has grown in popularity in the last ten years….
